Stop motion animations are fairly complex on this project, there are multiple individual animations that have damage states that can be changed at different points of health meter, giving better feedback of condition of vehicle than TM style mesh swap.

This was our game we participated with to GMTK 21 game jam.

It was pretty ambitious project, too ambitious. Code broke down at the last minute and main mechanism never worked. Oh well, you can still blow up other vehicles, there is about 15 seconds of fun to be found here.

Animations were all stop motion, that is why we were able to have different kinds of vehicles. Walking, with wheels, tracked, whatever. It was all hand animated, there was no need to simulate tracks etc.
